BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Spring turkey season opens up Saturday, April 11th in North Dakota.
North Dakota Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier says the season will run through May 17th.
The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is offering 6,230 wild turkey licenses for the 2020 spring hunt, 205 more than last year. As always, Leier says safety should be the top priority.
Leier added that with the ongoing pandemic, several things have changed with some seasons. Paddlefish snag and take/harvest season has been cancelled. That season would have run from May 15th through the 21st. Leier added that they are looking at another option to replace this.
All April and May fishing tournaments have also been cancelled.
You can listen to Doug Leier every Thursday at 7:35 AM on Big Dog Country 95.5 FM with JD in the Morning.
