VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The filing deadline for candidates seeking public office in North Dakota has passed.
In Valley City there are two city commission seats up for election on June 9th. Incumbent Mike Bishop and first timer Dick Gulman are running unopposed pending the outcome of any other write in candidates.
Municipal Judge Thomas Goven is running for another term unopposed.
In the Valley City Park Board election incumbent Ross Powell is running for another term and first timer Jordyn Heck is run for an open position.
And no candidates filed to fill out the unexpired term of another Park Board position. Write-in-candidates are encouraged to run for that position. The election is set for June 9th.
