Fargo, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Fargo and West Fargo have issued a directive today for residents to Stay Home/Save Lives. Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney and West Fargo Commission President Bernie Dardis plan to have a press conference at 1 pm this afternoon to announce the details of their plan.

FARGO, N.D. (April 7, 2020) – Fargo Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney and West Fargo Commission President Bernie Dardis will issue individual Stay Home. | Save Lives. Directives at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7 in the Fargo City Commission Chambers. The directives pertain to strategies for slowing the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the Fargo and West Fargo communities and issue an urgent call to action for all residents. Cass County Commission Chair Chad Peterson and Fargo Park Board President Jerry Rostad will speak in support of the directives.
“This is the time we can make the most impact. Social distancing is critically important and the Stay Home. | Save Lives. Directive reflects just that. This is an urgent call for our residents to help fight the community spread of COVID-19. We need you to take this seriously – now,” said Mayor Mahoney. Collaboratively, the mayors are offering these directives in support of, and to expand upon, the efforts of North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum.
