JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) -Warren Abrahamson & Steve Linzmeier of i3G Media in Jamestown took home an Eric Sevareid Award for their work in broadcasting.
Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association presents awards to the best work done by broadcast news operations and journalists working in small, medium and large markets in a six-state region on radio, television and online. The panel of judges is made up of journalists and educators who live outside of Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Dakotas, Iowa and Nebraska to help ensure impartiality.
Warren Abrahamson received merit for his hard feature “Interest in Hemp, CBD Growing in Jamestown” in the small market category.
“I’m honored to be recognized by my peers in broadcasting,” Abrahamson stated. “This proves that what we’re doing with our news department and the journalists we have on staff at i3G Media are making a difference in our market. I look forward to continuing to serve the area to the best of my ability.”
Linzmeier took first place in the Sports Play-By-Play for Small Market with his call on the Class A State Championship between Jamestown and Davies. He was joined on the call by Luke Anderson.
“I’m proud of this award for a couple reasons. First off, it was such a memorable night for our entire community and I’m honored I got to be a small part of that. Second, I think Luke and I put out a high-level product when we work together, so it’s gratifying that someone else thinks so too,” Linzmeier stated.
