JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – As North Dakota COVID-19 cases increase, Stutsman County finds itself still without any positive tests.
During the latest media briefing Tuesday, Central Valley Health Unit Administrator Robin Iszler says the county has reported 0 positive cases. However, the region surrounding Stutsman has seen four confirmed cases.
Iszler stated that social distancing continues to be the most important way residents can help stop any spread of disease.
Mike Delfs, Jamestown Regional Medical Center CEO and President, reminded residents that when it comes to testing for COVID-19, they are strictly following CDC guidelines. These include having traveled internationally or in the U.S. recently, having been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, and do they have the symptoms of the disease.
Delfs says as of Tuesday, there have been no positive cases of COVID-19 tested through the JRMC.
He added that the hospital was equip ed with six ventilators, with three of them being dedicated to the surgery suites for emergency situations.
Others entities represented at the latest briefing included the Medicine Shoppe, Ministerial Association, Jamestown Salvation Army, and the City of Jamestown.
