St. Paul, MN (NewsDakota.com) – The state of Minnesota now has their first death linked to Covid-19.  According to the MN Department of Health today the death was from a person in there 80’s from Ramsey County.  The death happened last Thursday March 19th.

In a press release, Gov. Tim Walz said “Gwen and I extend our deepest sympathies to the loved ones during this time of loss,” and “As COVID-19 continues to spread in Minnesota, we must all do what we can to keep each other safe.”

The Department of Health says the state now has 138 confirmed cases of Covid-19.  Here is the list of MN counties with at least one confirmed case:   Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Carver, Chisago, Clay, Dakota, Dodge, Filmore, Hennepin, Jackson, Martin, Mower, Nicollet, Olmsted, Ramsey, Renville, Rice, Scott, Stearns, St. Louis, Steele, Wabasha, Waseca, Washington, and Wright.
