JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Arts Center is seeking public input on how they can better create a space and programming using their resources and abilities.
The public is being asked to take a survey sent out by the group to better understand the community’s assets and opportunities. A lot of the opportunities have to do with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math).
“Activities that foster a spirit of creativity can be titled a number of different ways,” the Arts Center states in the survey. “STEM, Children’s Center, Discovery Center; for the sake of this survey we are choosing to use the term STEAM (Science, Technology Engineering, Arts, and Math) to include the importance of creativity in the learning process.”
The survey came after the question “How do we create space and programming for families that seek to engage the mind and foster a spirit of creativity?” was posed.
