Update:  Moorhead, MN School Superintendent Brandon Lunak sent word to Moorhead School parents today that he has decided to close Moorhead Public Immediately.  Saying that he wanted to mitigate the risk of spreading the Covid – 19 virus.  Lunak said that he and his staff would be meeting to figure on the next steps to take for the school.

St. Paul, MN (NewsDakota.com) – Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz announced Sunday morning that state schools will be closing on Wednesday (3/18) because of the Covid – 19 outbreak. The schools doors will remain closed through Friday March 27th,

Walz at a press conference said the closure is to accommodate planning between school staff, teachers and administrators with guidance from the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).

The decision comes after Fridays news that 7 more people have been confirmed to have Covid – 19 in the state of MN.
