VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A man driving a pickup went through the ice on Lake Ashtabulta about 9 o’clock Saturday morning south of the Crossing.

US Army Corps of Engineer Spokesman Scott Tichy said the man got out of his vehicle safely with no injuries.

Tichy is advising no travel for vehicles on Lake Ashtabula due to unsafe ice conditions.
