VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2020 North Dakota Democratic caucuses will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. The North Dakota caucuses (called a firehouse caucus) are in effect a party-run primary. These caucuses are officially open, with the state awarding 18 delegates to vote for candidates at the National Democratic Convention in Milwaukee on July 12-18. Of these 18 delegates, 14 are pledged delegates allocated on the basis of the results of the caucuses.
HOW TO VOTE IN PERSON: If you are a qualified voter in ND, you can participate and vote in person at a designated location on March 10, 2020. Polls will be open from 11 am to 7 pm. Each voter will be required to sign, notate their selection of candidate, and sign a pledge of support for the Democratic-NPL ticket.
The polling location in Barnes County will be: Dem-NPL headquarters at Straus Mall in Valley City.
