JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning of a new high risk registered sex offender that is now residing within the city of Jamestown.

27 year-old Jonathan Robert Abell is currently residing at 721 2nd Street SE. He is described as a white male, 5’7″ and weighing around 215 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Abell was charged with Gross Sexual Imposition in 2017 when he performed sexual acts on a 3 year-old female and a 6 year-old male. He also forced them to perform sexual acts on him.

Abell is currently on probation with North Dakota Parole and Probation. He is also on GPS monitoring.

Abell is not currently wanted at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety only and should not increase fear in the community. Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten an offender will be turned over for prosecution.
