Michael Duane Olsberg, 79, Jamestown, ND passed away, Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Eventide Jamestown.  His funeral will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 7, 2020 with visitation one hour prior at Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City, ND.

Michael Duane Olsberg was born September 13, 1940, the son of Dennis and Harriet (Johnson) Olsberg in Valley City.  He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Valley City.  Michael graduated from Valley City High School and Valley City State College.

Michael started his teaching career in LaMoure, ND.  After being in LaMoure a few years he moved to St. Cloud, MN to teach at St. Cloud State.  While at St. Cloud State during the summers, he obtained his masters degree in accounting and math from the University of North Dakota.  He then started teaching at the Downtown Minneapolis Business College and a short time later at St. John’s Business College.  Michael started his own accounting business in his home at St. Cloud, which kept him busy.  When he found time to spare he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his nieces and nephew.

He is survived by his brothers, Larry Olsberg and Lee (Rhonda) Olsberg all of Valley City; nieces, Amber (Matt) Smith, Denise (James Sweeny) Olsberg, Danelle (Paul) Bunn and nephew Shawn (Alicia) Olsberg; great nieces, Taylor & Alexis Kratch, Emma Olsberg, Brooklyn Leigh Bunn and great nephew Kaiden Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard Olsberg and Gary Olsberg and sister in law Pat Olsberg.
