VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A fire destroyed a home in Valley City on Wednesday night just before 9 o’clock on February 26th.

Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said neighbors heard an explosion before the fire broke out at 522 8th Street N.E. He said four family members got out of the home and were taken to the hospital.

Fire crews stayed all night and into the morning putting out hot spots. The cause of the fire and explosion is under investigation with the State Fire Marshall.
