JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Young Professionals of Jamestown (YPJ) will return their large Co-ed Volleyball Tournament March 7th and 8th.

YPJ is a branch of the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce and is a group of those who may be young in the community or in their career to network and socialize.

YPJ Member Lindsey Vogel says the group hosts meetings monthly and is also responsible for choosing the Business of the Month award.

To raise money for their different endeavours, the group came up with an indoor volleyball tournament. “March Meltdown” has since grown to include a large number of teams from all over.

With assistance from the University of Jamestown Women’s Volleyball team and Head Coach Jon Hegerle, the day is filled with a variety of different games all overseen by players and coaches.

The event will feature co-ed teams on March 7th and then men’s and women’s teams on March 8th.

Vogel says they encourage anyone interested to put a team together to make it their biggest tournament yet. She added that they look forward to the boost it brings to Jamestown this time of the year.

The cost per team is $125 and the registration deadline is March 2nd. The registration also includes free family admission into the UJ Men’s Volleyball game on March 6th as well as a post-tournament social, free meal & drink specials at the Buff on Saturday at 6PM.
