JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High basketball teams ended their regular season on Tuesday night with a doubleheader against Mandan.

GBB: Mandan 74, Jamestown 66. 

Grace Hegerle lead the way for Jamestown with 30 in the loss, but in the process overtook Mandan’s Laykn Darras and Minot’s Allie Nelson to claim the WDA scoring crown. Her 360 points was one more than Darras.

Jamestown will play Dickinson on Friday night in the 7/10 play-in game of the West Region tournament. Tip-off at Jerry Meyer Arena is scheduled for 7pm.

BBB: Blue Jays 75. Mandan 72. 

Jamestown took a nine-point lead following back-to-back triples from Brooks Carroll and a dunk from Keith Levin in the final few minutes. However, Mandan’s Elijah Klein carried the Braves back to within one point.

Max Anderson hit a pair of free throws with 11.2 seconds remaining to push the lead back to three. Mandan’s three in the final possession hit the top of the backboard to preserve Jamestown’s lead.

Jamestown will play on March 5th at 3pm in the quarterfinals of the West Region Tournament against the winner of Friday’s 8/9 play-in game.
