BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Blue Jays of Jamestown boys and girls basketball teams traveled to the Capitol City for WDA action on Tuesday night, here are the results:

GIRLS: No. 3 Bismarck Legacy Sabers 75 Jamestown Blue Jays 69

The Sabers led by 11 at halftime, Ella Falk and Grace Hegerle helped the Jays get within two points in the second half, but some key free throws by Arianna Berryhill and Mac Boone kept the Sabers in front. Berryhill had a game high 25 points including 12 of 14 at the charity stripe, Boone added 17, Alexis Dressler had 13 and Jaiden Baker had 10. For the now 7-10 and 8-10 Jays, they were led by Hegerle with 21, Falk with 17, Katherine Horgan added 12.

BOYS: No. 3 Jamestown Blue Jays 75 Bismarck Legacy Sabers 65

In a back and forth contest that had several lead changes and three ties, including tied at 38 at the break, Senior Boden Skunberg had a game high 28 points, including seven 3-pointers and two four-point plays to help the Blue Jays improve to 15-2 and 16-2 overall. The Sabers made nine 3-pointers in the first half and just one in the second half. The Jays had eight total, Max Anderson hit the other three ball. Also scoring for Jamestown was Keith Levin with 18 and Carson Lamp with 13. Leading the way for the Sabers was Zander Albers with 13.

Next up for Jamestown will be a boys and girls double header at Williston on Friday.
