JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Public School Board met Monday evening at the Jamestown Middle School.
Superintendent Dr. Robert Lech shared information on a resignation within the district, that of Shelley Mack, Jamestown School District Food Service Director. Mack tendered her resignation after 19 years of service to the district.
“Mrs. Mack has been a wonderful Food Service Director who has continually looked to improve her program while working through a very regulation-driven federal food service program,” Dr. Lech shared in his report. “We have been quite fortunate in that Mrs. Mack has been both the director and dietitian. It is not typical for both of those necessary positions to be held by one person, but it is the skill set that we will be looking for again.”
Dr. Lech says they will work to find a replacement once the resignation is approved.
Also during the meeting, preliminary facility needs were discussed, primarily summer projects.
“There are large dollar facility needs that will dominate the available building fund,” Dr. Lech shared. “Working with Jerome Wegner, we have targeted the primary needs.”
Some of these projects include district wide safety updates, roofing needs, carpeting, property service, painting, and building repairs.
