NEW ROCKFORD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Day two of the 2020 Class B District 7 Girls Basketball tournament was held on Saturday with three more games at the New Rockford/Sheyenne High School. Here are the results:
Lakota 58 Warwick 19 (elimination game)
No. 6 Four Winds/Minnewaukan 82 Dakota Prairie 42 (semifinal)
The first quarter between the Knights and the Indians had four lead changes and two ties. Towards the end of the second quarter, the fifth seeded Knights were down by just two points and went into halftime down 36-27. FWM outscored DP 23-6 in the third quarter to take the lead 59-33 at the end of the third quarter. Leading the way for the one seed and defending District 7 champs were Mahpiya Jackson with 21, Myona Dauphinais added 19 and Riah Littleghost had 19. The Knights were led by Shaye Frederick with 15, followed by Carly Lippert with 11.
Harvey/Wells County 66 Benson County 53 (semifinal)
The Wildcats were down by as many as 18, they would fight back to cut the gap to four points in the fourth quarter but some key free throws and field goals down the stretch by the Hornets helped them hold on for the victory. The Hornets will move on to the district championship game for the fourth year in a row. Zoe McKinven led HWC with 20 points, Kalyn Keller added 11 and MacKenna Arnold had 11 points as well. For BC, Quinn Neppl led the way with 27.

4pm – Lakota vs. Dakota Prairie (Region 4 qualifier)
530pm – Benson County vs. New Rockford/Sheyenne (Region 4 qualifier)
7pm – Four Winds/Minn. vs. Harvey/WC (championship) (both teams qualify for the Region 4 Tournament in Devils Lake starting Monday, Feb. 24th)
