VALLEY CITY, N.D. (Newsdakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners first clinched a share of the Eastern Dakota Conference title, then later learned will be the top seed out of the East at the State Dual wrestling tournament in Fargo in February. The Hi-Liners had no problem with Fargo South winning  66-15.

In the five matches that were actually wrestled, Parker Larson won by fall 24 seconds in over Connor Moraghan at 170. With the pin, Larson’s 22nd of the season, he is 30-2 on the year.

Jonah Schuldheisz won by fall 27 seconds in at 182 to improve to 14-16. And Carson McGough won by fall at 2:31 at 220. He is now 7-5.

The Hi-Liners improve to 8-0 in the EDC and 9-4 overall. That win coupled with Devils Lake’s 38-33 win over West Fargo, Valley City is the EDC Champs and will be the top seed out of the East and will wrestle at 1:30 in the quarterfinals of the state dual tournament at the Fargodome February 20th against the number four seed out the west which has yet to be determined.
