CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Bison of Barnes County North had four players in double figures Monday night as they defeat the Carrington Cardinals in Class B District 5 boys basketball, 65-61. BCN improves to 1-2 in D5 and 7-3 overall, Carrington drops to 0-2 in D5 and 1-12 overall.
The Cardinals were down by as many as eight in the third quarter, but fought back and took the lead by two early in the fourth quarter. Senior Seth Nelson sparked the comeback pouring in 38 points in the contest, but some key free throws down the stretch by Tristin Roaldson and Tanner Soupir helped the Bison get the victory. Roaldson led the way for BCN with 22 points, Colby Bruner 13, Tucker Brown 12 and Soupir 10.
Next up for Carrington will be on Friday night against Lamoure/Litchville/Marion in Carrington.
