JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The opening day of the Stutsman County Boys Basketball Tournament was held on Thursday at the Jamestown Civic Center.
Kidder County 58, Carrington 39.
A close first half, opened up for Kidder County in the second half as they began to wear Carrington down. The Cardinals hit six triples in the opening 16 minutes as they tried to keep pace and trailed by just six at the break. Carrington’s Seth Nelson hit a three to open the second half and slash the lead in half. However, Kidder County would score 13 of the next 14 to pull away for good.
Eli Fallgatter lead the Wolves with 17. Seth Nelson and Hudson Topp each had 12 for Carrington.
EKM 64, NGS 42.
The second game of the day, it was a dominate fourth quarter from EKM that closed the door on NGS. The Rebel had been ahead the entire game, but it always seemed the NGS was still in striking distance until a 19-8 fourth quarter closed it down. Alex Huber paced the offense for EKM with 22.
Jaxcen Glatt had 15 for NGS with four triples.
Ellendale 76, South Border 33.
Midkota 58, MPB 47.
