JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Hockey will return right back to where it all started during the Hockey Day North Dakota 2020.
For the second year, several teams will hit the outdoor rink at the University of Jamestown. The event will run from January 17th through the 19th.
Tanya Nenow is a volunteer for the event.
A temporary rink is built in the middle of the University campus, setting a unique atmosphere for the games. Volunteer PJ Ringdahl says they encourage anyone who’s interested to stop by and see the progress of the rink’s construction.
Numerous volunteers and sponsors come together to make the three-day, statewide hockey celebration a reality. Concessions, firepits, seating and buildings will be available to spectators during the events.
Ringdahl says they encourage anyone who’s interested to consider either becoming a sponsor or volunteer.
Even if you don’t watch hockey or know much about it, you should still stop by and check it out.
Tickets cost $10 for the entire weekend, children under 18 are free and students are asked to bring their student ID’s. Find a full schedule of all games here.
