FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Cayden Rickard set the tone for the game right away. Three trips down the floor for Valley City, three Rickard steals and layups and North led 6-0 one minute into the game. Rickard did not let up and the Spartans cruised to a 73-52 win over the Hi-Liners Friday night at the Spartandome.

Rickard ended the night with 38 points, five rebounds, four assists and nine steals. Aaron Melby added 10 point for North.

The Hi-Liners were led by Peyton Zaun with 20 points. Jared Eggermont added nine points and seven rebounds for Valley City.

The Hi-Liners are 0-4 in the Eastern Dakota Conference and 1-5 overall. Fargo North improves to 2-3 in the EDC and 2-4 overall.
