BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High basketball teams kicked off 2020 with a trip to the Capital City to play Century. The boys got back on the winning side with a 72-57 win, while the girls fell to the top-ranked team in the state, 69-42.

Boden Skunberg and Carson Lamp combined for 31 in the first half as the Jays staked themselves to a nine-point halftime lead. In the second half, Jamestown built their lead all the way to 25 behind Skunberg and Keith Levin. Levin finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Skunberg, who missed two games in December, dropped in a game-high 35. Cade Feeney tried to match wits with Skunberg but eventually ran out of gas, he had 29 to lead Century.

GBB: #1 Century 69, Blue Jays 42. 

Jamestown hung around for most of the first half against Century, before an 18-3 run to close the half buried them. Patriots freshman Logan Nissley lead all scores with 20.
