VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City had its best defensive showing of the season with a 40-26 win over Fargo North Friday night at The Hi-Liner Activity Center.

The Hi-Liners jumped out to an 18-5 lead to start the game and lead 23-9 at the break.

Brooke Eggermont lead the Hi-Liners with 16 points. Lindsey Noekse added nine points, nine rebounds and five steals.

Valley City is now 2-2 in the Eastern Dakota Conference and 3-3 overall. North falls to 0-5 in the conference and 0-6 overall.
