JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Salvation Army has announced they have reached their 2019 Red Kettle Campaign goal.

The Red Kettle Campaign kicked off on Friday, November 29th and ran through Christmas Eve. Major Judy Lowder stated the goal was set at $139,000 and reports that they have met that goal.

Lowder pointed out that final totals won’t be known until sometime in January, but says she’s grateful for all those who volunteered and donated at their kettles.

The Salvation Army will use the funding to continue supporting Stutsman County with their numerous services. Major Lowder says they will not need to make any cuts in 2020.

Major Lowder says reaching their goal will also allow them to open their Youth Center in 2020. No date has been set.
