VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The City Administrator of Valley City submitted his resignation last week. His last day on the job is tentatively set for January 17th.
David Schelkoph said it was time for him to step down and spend more time with his family. He said the job responsibilities have grown since he first accepted the position back in 2012.

Mayor Dave Carlsrud said a lot of duties have been added to the position.

City Human Resources Director Carl Martineck said a number of options will be discussed about the position and the future employee flow chart.

The resignation request was approved by the city commission during a special city commission meeting on December 26th.
