FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – North Dakota Senator John Hoeven will host a round table discussion on Friday (December 27th) in Fargo to provide more details on the recently passed disaster aid from the Federal Government.
Here is a portion of the news release announcing the meeting:
Senator John Hoeven will hold a roundtable discussion with North Dakota producers and agriculture leaders to outline the additional $1.5 billion in disaster funding that he secured in the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 funding bill. As chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, Hoeven has been working with USDA to help producers in North Dakota and across the country impacted by severe weather and natural disasters affecting harvest. In addition to the disaster funding, available through the Wildfire and Hurricane Indemnity Program Plus (WHIP+), the bill clarifies eligible disaster events and authorizes USDA to cover quality losses.
The meeting will be held at NDSU’s Barry Hall at 10:30 am.
