JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – North Dakota Game and Fish is hosting a free ice fishing weekend December 28th & 29th across the state.
The NDGF invites all North Dakota residents to ice fish without a license. NDGF Outreach Biologist Doug Leier says the holiday provides a great opportunity to take friends and family outdoors.
Leier does offer some cautious words to those venturing out on the ice.
Ice fishers should check ice conditions before going on the ice. All other regulations do apply. Those looking to darkhouse spearfish still need to register with NDGF.
