MADDOCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Benson County Wildcats had three players in double figures as they roll past the Cardinals of Carrington last Saturday afternoon in Class B Boys basketball 63-31. Carrington drops to 0-3 overall, Benson County improves to 3-0.
The Cardinals did not score the entire second quarter and were down 31-10 at half. Senior Kadin Neppl led all scorers with 20 points including two 3-pointers. Blayne Anderson added 18 and John Fischer had 10. Senior Seth Nelson had 16 for the Cardinals.
Next up for Carrington will be Friday night, January 2nd, 2020, at home against the defending Class B champs, the Thompson Tommies, KDAK will have coverage starting about 715pm.
WRESTLING:
The Cardinals wrestling team participated in the Linton Holiday tourney over the weekend, as a team they finished in second place behind South Border. They had three first place finishers, Treston Lura, Brecken Lura and Tate Hoggarth, Michael Clifton finished second, Kael Kovar ninth, Corbin Clifton fifth and Beau Retzlaff fourth.
Next up for Carrington will be the Rumble on the Red at the Fargodome Friday, December 27th and Saturday, December 28th.
