JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – During the 2018-2019 school year, the University of Jamestown added on-campus counseling services to its offerings, and the school is continuing to look at ways to assist students.

The school offers part-time counselors on campus to students throughout the week, says Nicole Heinle who is the Director of Campus Safety at UJ.

Heinle says their services and attention occur at all times of the year.

The Campus Safety office also serves as a link between the campus and community resources.

Heinle says her office is working to spread information to young adults, including a monthly newsletter “Free Food… For Thought.”

The Campus Safety office is working to continue expanding service for students and staff. Heinle says the Student Affairs office is working to see students succeed, both in and out of the classroom. Staff, including campus safety, is notified if students have unusual attendance or behaviors on campus.
