Darcy Marie McGough joined the love of her life December 16, 2019. She left here peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Darcy was born April 8, 1952 in Breckenridge, MN at St. Francis Hospital to Francis and Helen (Mikesh) Differding. In 1967, her family moved to Valley City, ND where she attended St. Catherine’s School and in 1970 she graduated from Valley City High School. On August 17, 1971, she married the love of her life, Edward McGough.
Together they made their life in Valley City where they were blessed with three beautiful children, which continued with eight gorgeous, rambunctious grandchildren. Some of her favorite times were spent with family teaching her grandchildren how to drive her golf cart. She liked having all the chauffeurs to take her for rides. She kept extremely busy with her flower gardens, putting together and furnishing dollhouse kits, and arranging her fairy gardens to perfection.
Darcy is survived by her children, Jasen (Kathy) McGough of Valley City, Jarid (Sarah) McGough of Nashwauk, MN, and Jolene Jewett of Valley City; grandchildren, Cole, Carson, Kody, and Landen McGough, and Cardar, Auston, Darci, and Blake Jewett; her mother, Helen Differding of Fargo, ND; brothers, Darrell (Tony) Differding-Brom of Cathedral City, CA, Wayne (Deb) Differding of Fargo, Larry (Sandi Lewis) Differding of Richfield, MN, and Jeff (Shelly) Differding of Valley City; sister, Julie Storhoff of Valley City; and many nieces nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her handsome husband of 46 years, Edward McGough; her father, Francis Differding; sister-in-law, Patricia Differding; niece, Sarah Differding; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Delores McGough; brother-in-law, Thomas McGough; and nephew, Shawn McGough.
A memorial service will be held at St. Catherine Catholic Church on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be the hour prior to the service at the church.
