WIMBLEDON, N.D. (Wimbledon Newsletter) – Wimbledon Community Grocery & Café volunteer manager and governing non-profit board president Linda Grotberg has scheduled her last day in the store for December 24th.

The organization announced its search for an entrepreneur to run the grocery & café in August, but a potential buyer or manager has not been identified. With time running out, the community has been invited to participate in determining the next step with a Community Meeting Scheduled for 7 pm on Thursday, December 12th.

The newly renovated Wimbledon Grocery store with over $40,000 worth of inventory.

Grotberg joined the store board in 2014, and discovered that income and payroll taxes were unpaid. It took several years to pay the past debts, but the bills are paid. Grants and fundraising recently upgraded the infrastructure.

New coolers & freezers were installed in January 2017, and an ADA-compliant restroom was added with the expanded / rearranged café space in March 2017.
