JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With some of the busiest travel days of the year ahead, airports are reminding flyers to keep some tips in mind to make for a smoother holiday flight.

Jamestown Regional Airport Manager Katie Hemmer says the best practice when it comes to flying with gifts is to leave them unwrapped.

Hemmer encourages anyone who may have questions about flying to or from Thanksgiving meetups with food to visit the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) website.

Hemmer says a unique item airports are seeing again this year are snow globes.

She pointed out that at the Jamestown Regional Airport, they’ve already begun seeing some of these items and have been asked questions. She says the best way to prepare is to research and ask ahead of time.
