JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Thanksgiving is full of many different traditions.
For some, that’s the tradition of attending the long-running Concordia Lutheran Church Community Thanksgiving.
The meal first began 29 years ago after congregational member Fritz Buegle saw a need to provide a community Thanksgiving meal for the area.
Pastor Tom Eckstein says the meal has grown is size ever since.
Volunteer Betty Malhke reported in 2018 that they served nearly 725 meals.
Eckstein encourages anyone who is interested in coming to the meal to also join them for their Thanksgiving service prior to the meal starting at 11 AM. He says they have a great array of food that will be served up by volunteers.
Pastor Eckstein says the meal is for anyone who is in Jamestown for Thanksgiving and not limited to just those who attend Concordia Lutheran Church.
If no one answers, you’re encouraged to leave a name, number, and address for deliveries.
