JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown volleyball team got their schedule for the NAIA National Championships that begins on December 3rd at the Tyson Event Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Jimmies enter the tournament as the 8th overall seed and secured the top-seed in Pool H, which is the 8th and final pool. That means the 9th overall seed, Columbia (Mo.), will be in the pool with Jamestown. Columbia is making their 26th appearance in the national championships and they have won four national titles.

Jamestown and Columbia have played five times since 2008 and the Jimmies are 0-5 in those meetings. The last came in the 2016 season opener.

They will be joined in Pool H with Westmont (Calif.) and Xavier (La.). Neither team was ranked in the final NAIA Top-25 poll.

The first match for the Jimmies will be Tuesday, December 3rd at 1pm against Xavier. The pool play matches will take place over the first three days with the Round of 16 and Round of Eight on December 6th and the National Semifinals and Championship played on December 7th.
