JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce will be starting up their Local & Regional Committee again in 2020.

Chamber Executive Director Emily Bivens says the committee had not met in more than a year and was created as a large part of the chamber’s advocacy for local business.

Bivens says items brought to the committee would be discussed and brought forth from the chamber to the city council or legislators.

She pointed out that a committee has worked to create a policy that will be used for the monthly meetings.

Because the committee is a chamber committee, most topics of discussion will be focused on local businesses.

At this time, the chamber is seeking committee members to be a part of that process. During a Business After Hours at Tapp’s Lounge from 4:30 PM to 6 PM, individuals can stop by and learn more about the committee or serving on the committee.
