HOPE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Senior running back Jack Ihry carried the ball 50 times for 400 yards to help the Spartans of Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page defeat the Rockets of New Rockford/Sheyenne on Saturday afternoon 44-42 in the Class B 9-man quarterfinal playoffs. No. 2 NR-S ends their season at 8-2 overall, No. 3 FSHP improves to 11-0.

The Rockets were leading 42-28 going into the fourth quarter, but FSHP scored twice and converted on both of their 2-point conversions to secure the victory. Ihry scored both of the TD’s, one from five yards out and the one to tie was a 43 yard rushing touchdown, he ended up with five total TD’s. Junior QB Johnny Grann for NR-S was 17-23 for 287 yards and four touchdowns, Senior Bo Belquist caught three of them.
