CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The final day of the 2019 District 5 Girls Volleyball Tournament will be held at Carrington High School’s East Gym on Monday night with three matches, the championship will be the last match of the evening featuring No. 1 Oakes against No. 3 Carrington, Oakes is the defending district champs and both teams have over 30 wins on the season. Carrington has finished runner-up in the District 5 tournament for the last five years in a row. In 2013, Carrington was part of District 7 and Region 4, they won the region qualifying match in the district tourney, then the Region 4 championship and finished third at state that year. Here is Monday’s schedule, all matches will be broadcast on Thunder Country 98.3 FM and newsdakota.com:
430pm – Lamoure/Litchville-Marion vs. Barnes County North (Region 3 qualifier)
545pm – Midkota vs. Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier (Region 3 qualifier)
7pm – Carrington vs. Oakes (championship) (both teams have already qualified for the Region 3 Tourney in Linton starting Monday, November 11th).
