VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A 19 year-old female received a non-life threatening gunshot wound on Friday morning in Barnes County.
Sheriff Randy McClaflin said the incident happened in the Fingal area. He said the woman was brought to Mercy Hospital by friends and family for treatment.
McClaflin said deputies arrested a woman at the residence. But he said the arrest is not related to the shooting being it involved an outstanding warrant stemming from a separate incident.
The shooting remains under investigation with the Barnes County Sheriffs Office. Again the woman is expected to make a full recovery from this gunshot wound.
