JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce is constantly looking at ways to improve local businesses and their employees.
On November 6th, they’ll be hosting a panel called “Expanding Your Employee Pool” to feature information from other organizations and continue growing Jamestown.
Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Emily Bivens says ND Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Job Service of ND and Freedom Resource Center, Anne Carlsen Center and more will be answering questions about hiring employees with disabilities.
Other things that will be discussed includes rights as a business, employee’s rights, workforce training funds and programs available, off limit questions in an interview and how to implement recruitment strategies to broaden workforce diversity.
The event will run from 3 PM to 5 PM at the James River Senior & Community Center on November 6th.
