VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City officials plan to open Viking Drive once the Sheyenne River is below 13.9 feet, when that happens public works crews will remove the flood wall on Viking Drive.
City Administrator David Schelkoph said storm water pumps throughout the city will slowly be removed over the next two to three weeks. He said once the lake level on Ashtabula returns to an elevation of 1266 feet and the river is under 12 feet the city commission we lift their state of emergency.
