JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Prairie Public) – The President of the North Dakota Farmers Union says farmers are being forced to make some tough decisions as they try to salvage parts of this year’s harvest.

Mark Watne says for those able to get into their fields the initial going is not encouraging.

Watne says the muddy fields raise the next question of when does a grower draw the line.

Watne says the problems don’t stop there. He says there are water filled pastures and hay lands to consider.
