JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Roughrider Rodeo Association returns to the Jamestown Civic Center this weekend and is bringing with it a lot of excitement and people from all over.

The Roughrider Rodeo Association Finals have been held in Jamestown for the past several years. Announcer Aaron Boerboom says the event draws hundreds from the region and even from out of the country.

Boerboom says the rodeo will feature bull riding, bareback, saddle bronc, team roping, tie-down and a bunch of junior events. Boerboom says he looks forward to being the announcer for the 4th year. He shared his story about how he first got into announcing.

Well-known rodeo clown Shawn Stutzman of Staplehurst, Iowa says he enjoys being a part of the event as he enters his 3rd year with the finals in Jamestown.

Stutzman has traveled all over the country to different PRCA rodeos including California and Georgia. He says he enjoys keeping the show and entertainment up throughout the weekend.
