JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Stutsman County residents are being welcomed to take sandbags for use against rising waters in the county.
Stutsman County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist reports that bags will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Filled sandbags will not be delivered to any location.
“Individuals wanting bags will need to arrange to pick up the sandbags and transport them to their destination,” Bergquist says.
“The number of filled bags available is limited. Once the bags are gone, they are gone.”
To arrange for filled sandbags, you can call the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office at 701-251-6200 during office hours. After hours and weekends, you can call 701-252-9000.
