JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Jamestown approved a tax abatement agreement for Eagle Flats Apartments during a special session Thursday.
Earlier this week, negotiations were held on the abatement. The request for the abatement came from the company for a period of 15 years for the development of a low to moderate income based 1,2, and 3 bedroom unit building with green space, playground and parking in Downtown Jamestown.
The apartment would be built in the space currently occupied by the former Eagles Club.
The council unanimously approved a 2.5 percent increment yearly increase in the $35,000 payment in lieu of taxes.
