VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With the latest river level at 14.07 ft (as of 9:45am 10-17-19), and the projected level at 15 ft, Valley City is preparing for minor to moderate flooding.
Thursday morning, Viking Drive was closed so city crews can install planks which will form a wall on the bridge.
City Administrator David Schelkoph says thanks to plans put in place seven years ago, sandbagging may not be in our future.
Dealing with rising water can be stressful for all in involved and Schelkoph has this message for Valley City residents.
