JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown’s Meghan Ford claimed the West Region cross country title with a run of 17:49.88, which was more than a minute clear of the next finisher. She will be looking for a third consecutive state title at the state meet in Minot on October 26th.
The Jamestown girls finished 7th as a team with Bernadette Belzer coming in 32nd and Maddy Orr ran a time of 22:23.56 which placed her 49th. Minot took home the title with 60 points.
On the boys side, Jamestown had two runners finish in the top-six. Gavin Haut finished third with a time of 16:13.68 and Ben Anteau finished sixth at 16:19.05.
The Jays finished fifth as a team.
