JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The second half was all Century as they scored 29 straight points to overcome an 8-0 halftime deficit to stay undefeated and the unquestioned No. 1 team in the state.
The Jays took the lead in the second quarter on a 27-yard pass play from Tommy Falk to Carson Lamp. The defense held Century out of the end zone in the first half including one trip inside the red zone.
In the second half, the Century offensive and defensive lines took over. With the aid of some short fields and a block punt for a touchdown, the Patriots stormed ahead 22-8. Their two offensive touchdowns were one-yard runs by Cade Feeney.
Grant Anderson recovered a blocked punt in the endzone for the third score. Century added one more touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Jamestown (2-5) will be back in action on Saturday night against Bismarck High at the Community Bowl. Kick-off is set for 7pm.
