JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Department of Transportation and the North Dakota Highway Patrol are working to open roads that have been closed because of the storm.
Main roads such as I-94 are continually being assessed. Progress has been slowed because of the continuing weather and vehicles that have been stranded on the roadway after individuals were rescued.
NDDOT and NDHP will keep you updated throughout the day. Roadways are continually being evaluated and updates will be provided when they are available.
An assessment on the progress of the clean-up on I-94 and other roadways will occur again at 3:00 p.m. CST.
Please monitor the NDDOT travel information map or download the NDRoads app to see the most current information.
NDDOT and NDHP advise that you DO NOT TRAVEL on closed roads or roadways listed as no travel advised. If a crash occurs or you become stranded, further progress is slowed to clear the roadways.
A $250 fine can be issued to drivers who enter closed roadways.
